The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) is a global service provider and leading advocate of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for all, including those in humanitarian settings. We are a worldwide movement of national organizations working in 172 countries with and for communities and individuals.

IPPF is seeking a dynamic Regional Advisor with a passion for women’s health for the implementation of
SPRINT in the East & South East Asia and Oceania Region (ESEAOR). The successful candidate will join the SPRINT team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. S/he will ensure effective and accountable implementation of the initiative in the region. 

SPRINT is an initiative that seeks to increase timely access to life-saving information and SRH services in humanitarian settings, as outlined in the minimum initial services package (MISP) for reproductive health in
crisis situations.SPRINT is entering its second phase and will provide in-depth support to build national capacity for preparedness, response and recovery. It seeks to achieve this through advocacy,
training, funding and technical assistance. 

REGIONAL ADVISOR, SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH IN EMERGENCIES

Key Responsibilities:

The Regional Advisor is responsible for the implementation of the SPRINT II initiative in ESEAOR), focusing particularly on the six priority countries: Myanmar, Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, East Timor and Solomon islands. The position holder is expected to support and strengthen national capacity in these countries, and to advance the integration of SRHR before,
during and after humanitarian crises.

Essential
Selection Criteria:
· Advanced qualification in public health, social science, international
studies or equivalent 
· Minimum of five years in relevant field (e.g. humanitarian
response, public health), with at least three years professional experience
specifically in SRH and humanitarian emergencies
· Strong understanding of the field of SRHR in emergencies
in the Asia-Pacific region
· Ability to motivate, coordinate, provide technical
assistance, monitor and evaluate SRH interventions in humanitarian settings
· Strong interpersonal, communication, advocacy, and administrative
skills
· Strong program management skills, including budget
management, M&E and management of staff
· Flexibility
to work efficiently and energetically with a demanding travel schedule (1 week
per month) including some hardship countries.
· Enthusiastic
and motivated about IPPF’s mission and values.

The above position will initially be offered for a two-year period, subject to review and availability of funds. The salary is negotiable and based on experience and qualifications, but starts at RM 150,000 per annum. A
