The Economic and Public Sector Program (EPSP) is an Australian Government, AusAID initiative, a partnership between the Governments of Australia and Papua New Guinea. The goal of EPSP is to provide an effective and efficient public service that focuses on service delivery for the men, women and children of PNG. The program also aims to create an enabling environment for broad-based economic growth.

EPSP, on behalf of Department of Labour and Immigration (DLIR), is seeking a Financial Management Specialist for a three month input to review and develop new and existing finance processes to ensure they align with GoPNG financial management systems. This role will also assist the DLIR Manager for Finance and Expenditure to manage and strengthen the processes of budgeting, cash flow preparation, implementation, reporting and accounting.

To be successful in this role, you must possess significant practical experience in the development and implementation of financial management policies, systems and processes, preferably from within a public sector environment. Your knowledge and understanding of current financial management techniques and their application to organisations in a development context will be highly regarded. A tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related discipline is essential.

The Adviser Remuneration Framework (ARF) applies. This position is classified as discipline A, level 3.
