UN Country Team seeks 01 International consultant to work on Resource Mobilization Strategy for UN Viet Nam.

The UN One Plan 2012-2016 was signed by the Government of Viet Nam and the United Nations on 27 March 2012 and represents a milestone in the Delivering as One Initiative in Viet Nam. The new One Plan is the joint strategic programme document of 17 resident and non-resident UN agencies: FAO, IFAD, ILO, IOM, ITC, UNAIDS, UNDP, UNEP, UNESCO, UNFPA, UN-HABITAT, UNICEF, UNIDO, UNODC, UNV, UN Women and WHO.

In the One Plan document it is stated that the UN Country Team will develop a resource mobilization strategy for 2012-2016 that will set out the context for resource mobilization, establish benchmarks and indicators for resource mobilization and individual agency contributions, and outline responsibilities and guiding principles, mechanisms for fund-raising and accountability and reporting arrangements.

The objective of the consultancy is to carry out a mapping of potential donors and to identify the key funding opportunities to close the UN Viet Nam One Plan 2012-2016 resource gap. The format for the assignment is a desk review combined with interviews with the members of the UN Country Team. The report by the consultant will be integrated into the overall UN resource mobilization strategy for Viet Nam, which is currently being developed by the UNCT.
