Position: Technical Officer for Nutrition
Location: Phnom Penh
Salary & Benefit Package: 749 USD – 937USD dependent on professional experience and qualifications

I. THE PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The overall purpose of this position is to support the Health Nutrition and WASH unit in providing state-of-the-art technical support on Nutrition interventions mandated under Nutrition Health and WASH Technical Program (TP).

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as a Technical Resource on all nutrition issues for World Vision Cambodia, especially the Health Nutrition and WASH Unit team, Operations, and ADPs.

Represent WVI CAMBODIA in various Nutrition Technical Forums of the Ministry of Health, Academic/Research Institutions, Donor Agencies, and National and International.

Contribute to the designs of projects and programs and ensure Technical appropriateness of nutrition interventions

Lead the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation designs under projects/programs

Support the technical lead for ongoing coordination with WV support offices for mobilizing funds as well as meeting contractual obligations

Lead spiritual nurture and Christian witness among the team leaders

III. REQUIREMENTS:

At least three years of formal education in Midwifery, Health Sciences, or Nurse

At least 3 year experience in public health projects in the public or NGOs sector

Experience in design and implementation training/Capacity-building strategies on nutrition interventions, especially maternal and child nutrition

Effective in written and oral communication; be able to speak and write with a standard of English

Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, e-mail and internet

Familiarity with the Ministry of Health policies and programs aimed at improving nutritional status of women and children
