Salary: £35,948 p.a.
Location: HQ, Birmingham, UK
Contract: One year Fixed Term

Requirements: We are currently recruiting for Operational Support Manager; the post holder will be responsible to lead the Response Team once a disaster or emergencies strikes and to act as the principal point of reference for Islamic Relief (IR) staff in technical sectors i.e. Shelter, Health, Water/Sanitation or Food/Nutrition. The person will also contribute to wider IR initiatives, such as policy development, manpower planning and organisational development, to ensure that programme staff development needs in the field of disaster response are taken into account at the earliest stage.
The successful candidate will require a recognised qualification in Disaster Management or related field with substantial experience in management of programmes, leading & responding to disaster response and emergency teams. Candidates with experience working within the charity sector and understanding of current service developments are desirable. He/she requires extremely high standard of communication and interpersonal skills.
