The ICRC Regional Delegation in Jakarta is looking for suitable candidates to fill the following vacancy:
Communication Officer for Police programme
Main tasks :
· Develop and maintain a comprehensive working network with
the Indonesian National Police, including Polri HQ, Polda, Brimob and
other law Enforcement agencies.
· Organize and oversee sessions on basic International Human
Rights Law standards and principles relevant to law enforcement for
officers of the Indonesian National Police and its various units.
· Assist the ICRC regional delegate for Police & Security
forces for networking and dissemination.
· Contributes to ICRC's annual planning and budget exercise
on the basis of implementation strategy for Police.
Requirements:
· Degree preferably in Law (Human rights), International
Relations or Communication / International Humanitarian Law.
· Sound knowledge of the Police environment.
· Working experience of minimum 3 years, with the Police
would be an asset.
· Good relational skills to establish contacts, lobby and
network at national and regional level.
· Confirmed communication, presentation and organisational
skills, and ability to work efficiently and effectively under tension
and within short notice.
· Demonstrated autonomy, motivation and commitment,
delivering within deadlines.
· Computer literate, fluent in oral / written English and
Bahasa Indonesia.
· Ability and willingness to travel to different regions of
Indonesia and abroad .
· Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
