Senior Gender Advisor, Washington, DC
We are currently seeking a Senior Gender Advisor for a USAID-funded Agricultural Commercialization & Innovation (AC&I) Activity. Responsibilities: • Serve as the lead advisor overseeing gender integration into all processes and activities in the program • Lead a small team in developing gender trainings and workshops as applicable to agricultural commercialization and the partnership development • Advise in developing strategies and plans to improve the economic participation rate of women and systemic changes within the labor force and businesses • Monitor and report project progress and resource utilization • Other tasks as needed.
Qualifications: • A Master’s degree in Social Sciences or related field. • Five (5) years or more of experience in planning, implementing and assessing workforce and micro and small enterprise development with a gender perspective. • Prior experience successfully working in societies with low gender and development indicators. • Familiarity with USAID policies and procedures. • Strong interpersonal and communications skills. • Fluency in English required.
