Education Policy Specialist - and Education Policy Coordinator
Chemonics International Inc., a leading international consulting firm,
seeks to fill the following long-term, full-time position for a project
funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Higher
Education Leadership and Management (HELM) project. The primary objective
of the HELM project is to provide technical assistance to strengthen the
capacity of Indonesian higher education institutions to perform more
effectively in financial management, general administration and management,
quality assurance, and collaboration with external stakeholders. We are
seeking successful candidates for following positions:
1. EDUCATION POLICY SPECIALIST
Technical Position:
Past experience supporting or leading the development of national or
sub-national higher education policies with relevant stakeholders. Past
experience in strategic planning processes for higher education
institutions and providing technical support, advice, and trouble-shooting
for higher education institutions. Experience in support to universities to
troubleshoot issues and/or identify key resources.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor degree (B.A./B.S.) in higher education, education policy,
education administration/management. Comparative and international
education or relevant field required; Master's degree preferred
* Minimum 6 years' relevant experience in one or more of the areas outlined
above
* Familiarity with Indonesian higher education systems preferred
* Experience working with international donors or organizations preferred
* Interest in working with a multi-cultural, international team in a
dynamic and fast-paced environment
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa
Indonesia
2. EDUCATION POLICY COORDINATOR
Technical Position:
Previous experience supporting, leading, or developing the capacity of
higher education institutions to operate effectively and efficiently. Past
experience working with or supporting higher education institutions or
government bodies responsible for developing and implementing funding
policies. Proven experience organizing trainings, seminars, and capacity
building activities for higher education institutions. Experience in
providing support to universities to troubleshoot issues and/or identify
key resources.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor degree (B.A./B.S.) in higher education, education policy,
education administration/management, comparative and international
education or relevant field required
* Minimum 4 years' relevant experience in administrative and logistical
support to higher education institutions or support projects
* Familiarity with Indonesian higher education systems preferred
* Experience working with international donors or organizations preferred
* Interest in working with a multi-cultural, international team in a
dynamic and fast-paced environment
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa
Indonesia
