Education experts needed in British Council

The British Council is commissioning a project under the first round of the Analytical and Capacity Development Partnership (ACDP) jointly established by the Government of Indonesia, AusAID, the European Union and the Asian Development Bank.ACDP focuses itsprogrammeto support policy development, organisational change and planning for capacity development for the education sector in Indonesia. 

The British Council is currently seeking two national experts on Post-Basic Education and Education Finance to work in a team of Consultants to prepare the Country Background on Education System in Indonesia. The project is a six month project based in Jakarta with various travels in Indonesia. 

Thereport will be sector-wide used as a key input for the Indonesia Education Sector Review undertaken by OECD.

Requirements for the positions are:

1. Post-Basic Education Expert will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

· Masters degree in education or related areas; 
· Substantial experience of the Indonesian post-basic education (senior secondary, technical, vocational and higher education) system and policies, including: legislation/regulations, management and financing; curriculum, teaching and learning and student assessment systems; 
· Knowledge of Indonesian national development priorities and wider Government reforms related to education; 
· Excellent report writing skills
· Seven years of experience in working with international
organization, preferably in consultation work

2. Education Finance Specialist will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

· Masters degree in Public Finance, Public Administration or a related field; 
· Substantial experience related to the Indonesian education sector system and policies, including: legislation/regulations, management, and financing; 
· Extensive experience related to Government of Indonesia medium term expenditure plans and analysis of budget documents for the education sector; 
· Knowledge of Indonesian national development priorities and wider Government reforms related to performance-based planning and budgeting; and 
· Excellent report writing skills
· Seven years of experience in working with international organization, preferably in consultation work
