Islamic Relief Vacancy - Finance Coordinator
URGENTLY REQUIRED
Islamic Relief seeks to hire committed and experienced persons for the following
positions:
FINANCE COORDINATOR
Base at : Jakarta
Range of Salary : IDR 8.500.000 to 10.500.000
Contract Duration : 6 months (extendable)
Frequent Official Travel
Closing date: 10 May 2011KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
General :
To be responsible to assist for the overall management and direction of IR
finance operations, communications, budgeting, budget tracking, balance sheet
and internal control.
1. Assist the finance manager to maintain systems and controls to ensure the
efficiency, integrity and transparency of the field office and sub-office
operations in accordance with guidelines provided by Islamic Relief Head
Quarters and internationally accepted accounting standards.
2. Assist the finance manager to ensure all accounting records and supporting
documentation for all financial transactions are maintained in a systematic
order and in safe and secure conditions in the field office and sub-offices.
3. Assist the finance manager to provide Islamic Relief Head Quarters with
complete, accurate and timely financial reports, including institutional donor
reports where required for all projects implemented in the field office, in the
required formats.
4. Assist the finance manager to maintain accurate and effective financial
controls on all transactions incurred by the field office and sub-offices as
part of project implementation and other related costs.
5. Assist the finance manager to maintain effective control over cash and
bank, and ensure that cash in hand and bank reconcile with accounting records.
6. Assist the finance manager to provide quarterly and where required monthly
financial reports to the Islamic Relief HQ Finance department on timely manner.
7. Assist and support in ensuring that field expenditures meet Islamic
Relief and institutional donor requirements and remain within the approved plans
and budgets.
8. Assist and support in the preparation of budgets for project proposal and
annual field office budgets.
9. Assist the finance manager to establish effective and efficient work of
budgetary, accounting, reporting and internal control systems for the field and
all sub-offices.
10.Monitoring and reconcile the control accounts of the country office and/ or
sub offices.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATION
· Master degree majoring in accounting from reputable university
· Have certification as an accountant from Institute of Accountant in
Indonesia
· Fiveyears experience working withinternational NGOin the same field
· Experience in budgeting, budget tracking, internal control & salary
tax income.
· Board knowledge and understanding of Islamic principles.
· Excellent written and spoken English.
· Experience in working on financial software system, QuickBooks is
preferable.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel Outlook, access & Power
Point.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Report writing skills.
· Research skills.
