The Opportunity

Plan International has been operating an emergency response programme in the Central African since 2014.

We are seeking a Nutrition Specialist to provide technical support and guidance in the implementation of food assistance responses impacting children and mothers.

As Nutrition Specialist, you will support Country Offices by leading on the assessment, planning, design and implementation of nutrition programmes.

You will develop standardised monitoring and evaluation mechanisms and prepare quality donor reports and internal reports in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for supporting project staff in the development of outreach activities and ensuring teams understand programme protocols.

This is a collaborative role, where you will liaise with partners and local authorities to maximize potential and guarantee correct coordination of activities

The Person

To succeed in this fulfilling role, you must have extensive knowledge of emergency nutrition work, including experience in nutritional assessment and evaluation.

You must be able to demonstrate capacity to lead and support a team be comfortable operating in a cross cultural structure.

An efficient and skilled project manager, you must display analytical and strategic thinking and possess a thorough understanding of nutritional surveillance and information systems.

Knowledge of nutrition issues in the Central African Republic is imperative.
