Finance & Administration Officer

Contract : Fixed Term Appointment, subject to annual extensions

Purpose:

Finance & Administration Officer will ensure that the accounting, finance related processes and business controls of the field office adheres to the Oxfam’s policies and procedures whilst providing accurate and timely accounting information and related services to the country office. The post holder will also be responsible for efficient and effective delivery of the business services functions in the field office in line with Oxfam standards, procedures and frameworks.
An intermediate level professional qualification from a professional accounting body, i.e., CIMA / CA, CMA, ACCA. A degree in financial management or related discipline is preferred.
Minimum of 3-years of demonstrated experience in the areas of finance, administration and logistics in a similar capacity. (preferred in the NGO sector )
Proven ability in developing, improving and maintaining finance and administrative systems as well as experience in procurement, warehousing, vehicle management.
Strong computer literacy – proven experience advance Excel Spreadsheets and Internet based programs.
Adaptable, flexible, able to deal with demanding situations with a positive approach.
Ability to organise multiple tasks and prioritising.
Ability and willingness to travel to visit partners/projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Sinhala and/or Tamil.
