Community Center Manager

We are looking for experienced Community Centers Manager (CCM) to manage the overall implementation and oversee DRC’s community center in Ma’an, Jordan.
Who are we?
DRC is an international non-governmental organization, which promotes and supports durable solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced people all over the world. With the vision that no displaced person must be in want of help to find protection and durable solutions, DRC provides assistance and protection to conflict-affected in many of the major conflicts in Asia, Africa and Middle East. The assistance can consist of relief and other humanitarian aid, rehabilitation and support to returning home, and the promotion of durable solutions.
About the job
The CCM will oversee all center activities and ensure proper and effective coordination between in-center and outreach activities as well as link with relevant service providers to contribute to DRC’s strategy of providing a service hub for vulnerable people within the catchment area of the center. For this the CCM will manage the outreach, referral and activities officers. S/he will also closely coordinate with technical staff working inside the center as well as the support team, to ensure effective coordination of activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Community Centers Management
· Plan, manage and oversee all in-center and outreach activities related to the program and ensure optimal coordination and links between the different center services/units
· Link with other service providers in the area to facilitate exchange of services and expertise
· Regularly analyze the community center attendance and suggest innovative approaches to ensure a regular high daily presence of center users
· Link with program quality team to ensure optimal service satisfaction rate
· Link with all technical staff to ensure their activities are fully integrated into the center planning
· Link with the communication assistant to ensure regular effective communication around the community center and activities proposed
· In close coordination with the Field Coordinator, ensure community center activities are regularly adjusted to changing context and needs
· In close coordination with the Field Coordinator ensure that all project deliverables related to the community center are met.
Team Management and Capacity Building
· Develop clear work plan for people under his/her management and fixe set of qualitative and quantitative monthly targets
· Provide all necessary support and oversight to all staff, volunteers and committee members leading to capacity building;
· Mentor and support the teams through regular one-to-one supervision and performance appraisals;
· Assist the Field Coordinator in ensuring adequate coordination between all activities implemented in and around the CC
Internal coordination and reporting:
· Organize regular team meetings to ensure effective coordination between staff members
· Take part in weekly all staff meeting organized by the Field Coordinator
· Prepare monthly report for field coordinator
About you
To be successful in this role you must have:
Required qualifications:
· . At least five years proven and successful track record of management experience in the humanitarian/development sector;
· Ability to work independently with strong sense of focus, task-oriented, open personal qualities, clear sense of boundaries.
· Strong computer skills (Excel, Microsoft, PowerPoint and Outlook);
· Strong training and facilitation skills in terms of staff development initiatives and in-center trainings;
· Strong human resources skills, ability to manage personalities and build cohesive teams to work toward common objectives;
· Clear communication abilities (written and spoken) and reporting skills.
Required experience:
· Proven experience in livelihoods, community mobilization, community development and/or outreach; experience local economic development (LED) activities and a community center approach is an advantage;
· Experience with budgeting, financial reporting and payments;
· Experience with project cycle management and project management tools such as logical frameworks, work plans, and monitoring plans;
· Experience working with local stakeholders;
Moreover it is expected to have:
Desired qualifications:
· Bachelor Degree in Social Sciences or related field, Ability to use own initiative and work under pressure with minimum supervision, excellent computer skills - Word, Excel and Internet, Fluency in English language.
Desired experience:
· At least five years proven and successful track record of management experience in the humanitarian/development sector.
