The Partnership for Governance Reform (PGR) or Kemitraan is an Indonesian organization committed to promoting and advancing Good Governance in Indonesia. Kemitraan has grown fast; from a donor-led initiative to becoming a trusted, neutral and prominent Indonesian-managed institution. Kemitraan works with government agencies and civil society organizations (CSOs) to advance the national reform agenda.
On April 28, 2011, Kemitraan received an award from USAID/Indonesia under the Component 1 of the IKAT-U.S. (Southeast Asia – U.S. Partnership: Civil Societies Innovating Together) initiative. The program is called “Building Sustainable Partnerships to promote Women’s Political Representation in Southeast Asia.” With this program, Kemitraan is partnering with the National Democratic Institute (NDI) as well as the
Indonesian Women’s Coalition (KPI), Persatuan Kesedaran Komuniti Selangor (EMPOWER) from Malaysia, the Women’s Caucus from Timor-Leste, the Cambodian Center for Human Rights (CCHR), and the Center for Popular Empowerment (CPE) from the Philippines.
The goal of the above program is to strengthen the political rights of women and democracy by advocating the promotion of increased women’s political representation through regional partnership initiatives.
In completing their program activities, we are now recruiting :
Research and Advocacy Specialist, IKAT US Component 1
Summary of key functions:
1. Develop strategies for conducting strategic research and effective policy advocacy
2. Provide Technical Assistance to regional partners in conducting
research and advocacy
3. Provide Capacity building assistance on the areas of research and effective policy advocacy to regional partners.
4. Project co-management and implementation
5. Coordination and guidance to implementing/executing agencies
6. Strategic partnership and networking
Recruitment Qualifications:
Education and Skill
Bachelors (S1) Degree, preferable Master Degree; having good knowledge regarding the current socio-political and economic conditions; clear commitment to governance reform; humble in character and patient in listening to stakeholders is a must; willing to develop a good teamwork with the Partnership staff ; having a good skill in report writing, project management and good skill on the use of ICT.
Experience
Min. 5 years of relevant experience and possess skills in facilitating the
development of multi-stakeholders forum, in conducting various training programs, in pulling stakeholders such as key government agencies, civil society organizations, social-political figures, private companies and grassroots communities, etc.
Language Requirements
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
