About the role

The Policy and Research Manager will be responsible for the achievement of the fourth intermediate result of the CoU Project: Policy and Research - conducting research to support and inform on-going policy and programming in maternal and child health and basic education in Afghanistan and within academic institutions globally.

The Policy Research Manager will have responsibility for the following specific objectives:
• Establish academic links between the Afghanistan Research and Evaluation Unit (AREU) and academic institutions in Australia and across the world providing the opportunity to design and conduct operational research in the areas of MCH, nutrition and basic education.

• Document program interventions and best practice and present and share evidence of interventions with key stakeholders including governments, donor organisations, working groups and other partner organisations.

• Establish linkages and enable information gathered through this program to support SC’s global campaigns.
