Duration: November 21, 2011 to April 20, 2012 (possible for extension)

Position Summary
RESPONSIBILITIES
The role of CLTS Project Manager is primarily to provide strategic leadership and planning in the field activities. The Project Manager ensures the quality of Community-led Total Sanitation (CLTS) program is reflecting ADRA Indonesia's key values. He/She is responsible for managing, administrating and supporting
the project staff and activities to efficiently and effectively achieve the project's goal and objectives. The overall objective of the CLTS Project is to improve the sanitation and water conditions related to current
health issues in the community by building its awareness and mobilizing community asset in the respective selected villages. The role involves a high degree of good communication and community participatory
analysis skills. The CLTS PM is liable for providing regular reports to ADRA Indonesia's Program Director and responsible for maintaining a high standard of work in all project components.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
• Honest and trustworthy.
• Highly organized, self-motivated using innovation and creativity, possessing high integrity
• Have good interpersonal and communication skills in order to maintain an acceptable working relationship with CLTS team members and community leaders.
• Able to speak local language (Sasak) is an advantage to effectively carry out the required duties.
• Ability to work under pressure at times while maintaining high quality results.
• Accurately care for project funds in accordance with the established guidelines and policy; some basic knowledge in bookkeeping principles is an advantage.
• A university degree in Community Health, Rural Development or other relevant subject.
• Proven by management, coordination and networking abilities with a minimum of working experiences in managing two (2) projects in a related field.
• Demonstrate the affinity with sanitation and water related to the health issues in rural area.
• Good skills in Participatory Rural Appraisal and Action; team player in community empowering process.
• Fluent in English (mostly in written).
• Computer literate.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
The Project Manager will have the team at the field office implements the program and establishes good partnerships with the local stakeholder organizations and governments. He/She will manage day-to-day operations (administration, finance, procurement, reporting) of the office as well as monitor the progress of work in the field. To ensure that the proper participatory analysis can trigger the community to self-realization and leading actions and that water facilities (includes construction of latrines at schools) are improved to meet the basic principles of healthy living, the Project Manager is required to undertake the
following tasks:
1. Coordinating with related stakeholders for the CLTS program orientation prior to implementation.
2. Helping coordination with and liaisons for local organizations, government, and communities.
3. Developing monthly action plan and implementing CLTS and hygiene behavior change programs based on the detailed implementation plan (DIP).
4. Assisting the community leaders to conduct regular village inspections for ODF in preparation for the official inspection to certify the village of ODF.
5. Providing rooms for discussion, initiating surveys, analyses and presentations of findings.
6. Monitoring the project staff's activities, conducting regular project evaluations (review of outputs/ documentations/ deliveries of programs), and providing supports and trainings as necessary for adequacy of quality and quantity.
7. Project cost control: managing the projects and taking charge for maintaining expenditure within the contractual budget and scheduled guidelines.
8. Preparing the monthly activity reports and other reports as required to ADRA Indonesia; all reports provided and submitted to ADRA Indonesia are in English.
9. Ensuring the project assets are kept safely.
