World Food Programme, Indonesia invites applications from the eligible candidates for the following position:
Position: Senior Programme Assistant (Food Security and
Vulnerability Monitoring)
Contract Type: Special Service Agreement/Service Contract
Duty Station: Jakarta, Indonesia
Accountabilities:
Within the assigned unit, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
Regularly review and archive the results of food security monitoring systems, WFP’s monitoring and evaluation activities and vulnerability monitoring activities by other agencies so as to inform WFP programming; Co-facilitate the trainings for government counterparts on food security and nutrition concept, indicators and key methodologies of monitoring; Based on the agreed methodology and guideline, provide advice to government counterpart agencies on implementation of food security
monitoring systems; Support the team in data review and reporting including periodical
bulletins and project documents;
Coordinate and/or participate in food security assessments;
Be a member of Technical Working Group of food security analysis,
monitoring and mapping activities;
Provide secretarial support to the Unit when required. It involves
drafting correspondence, note for records, and translation of Bahasa Indonesia-English and English-Bahasa Indonesia; and Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications and Experiences:
Education: Secondary school education, preferably supplemented by courses in development management, economics, public policy, agriculture or other related field.
Experience: At least five years of progressively responsible experience of
which at least one year was closely related areas such as development
programme, capacity development, policy research.
Knowledge: Knowledge of data collection and archiving preferably in the
area of livelihood and food security. At least intermediate skills in
windows based word processing and spreadsheet.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Other Desirable Skills: Experience in capacity development, knowledge
management and transfer.
