Title : Temporary Junior Program Officer, Gender & HIV/AIDS

Duration : 5 (five) months

Interim Director Regional Office, Southeast Asia
II. Coordination
SEA Regional Office – Finance Officer, Office Manager, Program Officers RO-SEAIII. Main Responsibilities
1. Assisting the management of Hivos portfolio for the gender, women and development and HIV/AIDS sector
2. Assisting the preparation for a regional 5 year project on HIV prevention among men who have sex with men (MSM)
Specific Tasks: Programme Management
• Assisting the Programme Officer in processing proposals from existing and new partner organisations.
• Assisting the preparation of all necessary documents and administrative handlings for new outgoing contractual commitments according to existing procedures (organisation assessments, project summary and organisation descriptions, entrance of data in project administration, contract letter and cover letter to partners.
• Processing of annual progress reports and informing partners on the outcome.
• Assisting with administrative and programmatic tasks in preparing for the set-up of the regional programme on MSM.
IV. Qualifications:
Excellent knowledge of development issues with emphasis on gender, women and HIV/AIDS issues. Good understanding of and strong affinity with civil society, in particular with non-governmental organizations. Good communication skills, including proficiency in English. A good team worker. Prior experience in grant making will be regarded as an asset.
