Salary: £28,758
Location: Sanaa, Yemen
Contract: One year fixed term

Requirements:
We are currently recruiting for Country Director Yemen to be stationed in Sanaa; the post holder will assume overall responsibility for managing IRW’s office in the country. These include consolidating IR strategy, outlining resource requirements of the programme, and periodically reassessing the programme to meet its short & long term needs. The core responsibility of the job will be to strengthen IRW’s visibility and to ensure that all programme activities are implemented, monitored and evaluated in a timely manner and in line with IRW’s strategic parameters.
The Country Director will also be responsible for managing an in-country team of international and local staff, and for reporting on the progress and finances to the International Office in Birmingham and to project donors.
The successful applicant will need to be a superb diplomat with experience of fundraising; he/she will represent IR Yemen in forging new and improved relations and partnerships with all stakeholders. A postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline with previous overseas management experience with an International NGOs is essential as a substantial part of the post involves emergency, rehabilitation and development.
Excellent communication skill in English and Arabic is fundamental. Candidates must be willing to travel regularly with short notice.
