Since 15 May 2009, Hivos is running the Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme, funded by the Dutch government. This programme is undertaken in close cooperation with SNV Netherlands Development organization.
The overall objective of the Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme is to disseminate domestic bio-digesters as a local and sustainable energy source through the development of a commercial, market oriented sector in selected provinces.
The specific objectives of the Programme contributing to its overall objective are:
•To support implementation of provincial bio-digester programmes and increase the number of quality domestic bio-digesters with 8,000 in maximum eight provinces, of which 2,000 installations will be outside Java;
•To ensure the continued operation of all bio-digesters installed under the programme;
•To maximize the benefits of the operated bio-digesters, in particular the optimal use of digester slurry;
•To develop the capacity of existing organizations and institutions and to facilitate establishment of organizations and institutions for the continued and sustained development of the bio-digester sector;
•To develop financial services to enable poor farmer households to participate in the biogas programmes;
•To effectively exchange knowledge between all relevant actors in the programme and with relevant international actors.
The main task of National Sales Coordinator:
•Reporting to the Program Manager and National Promotion Officer, will be responsible to develop and implement sales plan and target at the national and provincial level.
•S/he will provide input on the structure of the provincial sales team; participate in the recruitment and training, monitor, supervise, and evaluate the performance of the provincial sales team.
•During the work, the NSC will coordinate closely with the Provincial Coordinator and conduct joint field visit with the provincial team. The Sales coordinator will work based on the monthly salary (operational cost inclusive) and progressive sales team’s achievement.
The responsibility will include:
1. To closely monitor and evaluate the achievement of the provincial sales team and provide guidance as necessary
2. To develop a sales plan and strategy to achieve the national target
3. To develop detail national work plan and compile provincial work plan with budget including travel monitoring plan to provinces
4. To develop and maintain strong networking and relationship with related national and provincial stakeholders, freelance promoters, and users.
5. To carry out own research and work with NBPSO staff and Provincial Coordinators to identify all opportunities for selling BIRU digesters
6. To create database for joint marketing/sales events
7. To assist in the development and writing of announcements, production of flyers and other literatures that will assist in effective promotion and sales, and production of other facilities for sales (gimmick, etc)
8. To write bi-weekly sales overview/report to the IDBP Programme Manager
9. To verify and validate achievement of the provincial sales team including verification of amount of incentive for provincial sales officers
10. To assist the national Communications and Promotions Officer and other relevant staff in arrangements for exhibitions, conference and other commercial events/meetings, including manning BIRU display and exhibits at conferences and event sites
11. To undertake such other duties as directed by the national Communications and Promotions Officer or the IDBP Programme Manager
Qualifications:
•Minimal S1
•Have experiences in sales area, especially in selling the agricultural products or products for cattle (for vets), agricultural machinery, fertilizer and seeds, pesticides.
•Analytical skills
•Communications skills
•Enthusiastic, hardworking, well-organized and able to prioritize
•Able to meet deadlines and targets, self starter
•Able to work with others, and willing to contribute to team
•Ability to work windows based office using word, excel, access, and power point.
